World Costliest VR Headset Is Sending Your Data To The Facebook Servers!!










World costliest VR headset Oculus Rift may be spying on you,which is bought by the Facebook two years ago at the price of all most $2 billion.Now the device is officially released by the Facebook to the users may be another big strategy for Facebook for its advertising and also to track the users activity in that domain.

Some users has also found that after installing the Oculus Home software an 'always on' background service in the device software sends the user information from the VR headset back to the Facebook servers.A process with full system permission called as OVRServer_x64.exe detects when the device is turn on.

It is also found that the device is able to send upto the 7mbps of the data from the device on one instant,even after shutting down the Oculus Home.

The privacy policy of the Oculus VR clearly states that “depending on how you access and use” its services, Facebook may collect information about the games, content, apps, and other experiences a user interacts with; a user’s IP address and “certain device identifiers that may be unique to your device”; a device’s precise location based on GPS signal, Wi-Fi networks and cellular towers; and information about a user’s “physical movements and dimensions” when the headset is used.

Facebook also added that “third parties may accumulate information about you through the Services also,”
